Plus Marseille
With its welcoming climate, charming villages, incredible food and picturesque landscapes, Provence is an unforgettable, beautiful destination, and never more so than during the fall harvest season when the vineyards become a fabulous blaze of gold, bronze and red!
Our home base for 10 nights will be Avignon, a charming medieval city known for its magnificent 18th-century architecture, colourful markets and lively arts and cultural scene. With an excellent public transport system that offers regular services to surrounding towns, it’s a perfect base from which too explore the area.
We will stay at the 4-star Mercure Pont d’Avignon, located in a quiet area within the old city walls—an easy walk to restaurants, shopping streets and main attractions. Hotel facilities include a bar, lounge, garden and free Wi-Fi.
The tour concludes with 2 nights in Marseille, a wonderfully multicultural city with a rich maritime history, vibrant old port, quaint neighbourhoods, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
